Small group creative fellowship with special attention for individual projects
Creative Mentoring For:
- Prior watercolor participants wishing to embark on new projects or further develop watercolor themes "in progress."
- Figure drawing students wishing to create figure-based art in various media inspired by prior sketches and references.
- Prior "Image Journaling" participants who wish to enhance and develop their Journal pages with both image and writing.
- Those choosing to learn from historical Master Artists by creating expressive "paraphrase" works on paper.
Advice on matting, framing and sequencing art for exhibition.
Note: Participants provide the supplies for their individual projects.
Cancellation Policy: Refund if student cancels one week prior to class start. No other refunds are offered.
Instructor: Constance Pierce has exhibited her sketchbooks at the National Museum of Women in the Arts (DC ) and taught with the Smithsonian Art Studio (DC), Cleveland Art Institute (OH), Penland School (NC) and served as tenured professor of drawing and painting in New York state. She was also a visiting artist at Millsaps College and a Research Fellow at Yale University Divinity School (CT). She has exhibited in NY, DC, CT, OH, PA, MD, MI, AL, MS and most recently in Japan. Her work is seen locally at Oxford Treehouse Gallery.
