The 2018 Oxford Fiber Arts Festival will take place from January 25th-28th! All events are located at the Powerhouse unless otherwise noted.
Tuesday, January 23rd
6-8 pm - Misbits reception for show by Ashley Gertz at the Misbits Gallery located in the Edison (next door to the Powerhouse)
6-8 pm - January Art Crawl at the Powerhouse and various locations around Oxford. Free Double Decker bus rides to the locations.
8-10 pm - Day for Art Party at the Powerhouse
Wednesday, January 24th
6 pm - Weaving Lecture by Mary Zicafoose at the University Museum and her exhibition, Fault Lines
Thursday, January 25th
3 pm - Festival market opens
4:30-5:15 pm - Teen craft: No-Sew T-shirt tote bag at the Oxford-Lafayette County Library. Registration is required, please call 662-234-5751 to register.
5:30 pm - Opening Reception
Friday, January 26th
10 am-6 pm - Market and Classes
10:30 am - Fiber Story Time and craft for pre-schoolers at the Oxford-Lafayette County Library
9 am - Talk/Demo, The Art of Ikat by Mary Zicafoose
11 am-12:30 pm - Fabric/Yarn Swap
5-8 pm - Fiber Arts Reception at Oxford Treehouse Gallery
Saturday, January 27th
9 am-5 pm Market and Classes
Children's Activities on Saturday at the Powerhouse:
10 am-12 pm - Burlap Weaving inspired by Caribbean art collection hosted by the University Museum - free
12:30-2:30 pm - Straw Weaving Hosted by Woodson Ridge Mississippi Homemaker Volunteers Club - $1.00 each child
3-5 pm - Fiber Arts Activity Hosted by Stacey Sanford. Price to be determined.
