Burlesque was the show for the common man which crossed over in the age of television into the variety show spawning famous shows from Ed Sullivan to the modern late night talk show. Revivals of vintage burlesque show have become the hot trend. Live shows appear in local nightclubs, popular bars, and arts centers.
