The Impact

The Mississippi creative economy makes up 16% of the overall economy of the state and draws in over 22 million tourists. Whether visiting the Blues Trail, attending Double Decker Festival, or an Oxford Art Crawl, the arts are big business and draw people together to engage in community building. Last year arts organizations in Lafayette County spent over $2 million. The impact of the arts in our community isn’t just aesthetic, it economic!

Theatre Oxford presents, "The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged)" at the Powerhouse Feb. 22-25, 2018. Always wanted to see plays of the Bard, but never had the time? Here's your chance to catch them all in a hilarious Cliff Notes edition.

The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) (also known as The Compleat Wrks of Wllm Shkspr (Abridged)) is a play written by Adam Long, Daniel Singer, and Jess Winfield that parodies the plays of William Shakespeare with all of them being performed (in comically shortened or merged form) by only three actors.
