Community Movement & Theatre Camp - Starts Sept. 9th

This workshop explores the history of the enslaved and Civil Rights at the University of Mississippi through Theatrical Movement and Dance.

Participants in the workshop will learn how to combine physical movement with traditional theatre to create a Physical Theatre Work. The camp participants will learn about the history of slavery at The University of Mississippi, and then use this information to create site-specific works on the campus in areas and on sites related to this history. All ages are encouraged to sign up. No previous experience required, just a desire to learn something new and participate in an exciting creative theatrical experience.

Camp Sessions:

September 9th-12th - 5:15-6:30 pm - Workshops
September 15th - 2-4 pm - Rehearsal 
September 15th - 5-5:30 pm - Public Performance 

All sessions will take place on the campus of the University of Mississippi.  Meet at the Flag Pole.  The rain site will be the Turner Center Dance Studio and the Powerhouse.
