Join accomplished stage manager Allison Walcott for an engaging, hands-on introduction to the art of stage management. Whether you're interested in volunteering with Theatre Oxford, looking to expand your theatre skills, or simply curious about what happens behind the scenes, this workshop will provide an inside look at one of the most essential roles in any production.

Participants will explore:

  • The responsibilities of a stage manager throughout the rehearsal and performance process
  • Organization, communication, and leadership techniques
  • Prompt books, rehearsal reports, and calling cues
  • Working effectively with directors, actors, designers, and production teams
  • Practical tips and real-world experiences from the stage manager's perspective

No prior experience is necessary, just an interest in theatre and a willingness to learn! This workshop is ideal for aspiring stage managers, current volunteers, students, and anyone looking to become more involved with Theatre Oxford productions.
